FAQ

A: The convening will be a time for Hilton Foundation Refugee partners in Colombia and Ecuador to connect and share learnings, particularly around childcare. Please check the website Agenda for updates.

A: The convening will be focused on Hilton Foundation grantees, and may include other stakeholders such as donors, researchers, and various local partners. Please see the ‘Attendees’ tab for more information.

A: We are aiming for the convening to be primarily in Spanish. We can provide translation support for English speakers- please note this in your registration.

A: The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Refugees team is inviting specific grantees and partners working in Colombia and Ecuador to attend this event. Due to capacity restraints, we are limiting the number of registrations in order to guarantee representation across various organizations. If you would like to recommend another person in your organization to be invited, please reach out to Melissa (melissa.d@hiltonfoundation.org) with their name, contact, and travel/accommodation needs by December 1st. While we cannot guarantee an invite, we will take the request into consideration based on capacity.

A: We expect that grantees will utilize grant funds to cover participants’ airfare, subsistence allowance, and any related traveling costs. For grantees without convening budget lines or non-grantees, the Foundation may support flight costs if requested. Please fill out the attached Travel Form and email to Melissa (melissa.d@hiltonfoundation.org) to share your request by December 15th. 

The Foundation will cover transport to and from the airport to hotel for travelers.

A: The Foundation will be covering hotel accommodations on the evenings of February 14 and 15th for participants who requested accommodations in their registration. Breakfast snacks and lunch will be covered for all days of the convening. A welcome dinner will also be available on the first night for those able to join.

A: Please contact Andrea at Casa Dann Carlton Hotel & Spa (WhatsApp: +57 323 2737144). Any charges for additional nights at the hotel outside of February 14 and 15 will not be covered by the Foundation.

A: While we encourage all participants to attend the convening in its entirety, we understand if there are other priorities. If you need to leave early, please note in your registration the nights you will be needing accommodation and flight details so that we may prepare accordingly.

A: At this time the convening will only be available in-person.

A: Due to limited spacing, only convening registrants are able to present and attend. Please bring any materials that you require to share about your organization’s work. We will send out the final list of booth sign-ups per day by Feb. 13th. Please note that booths will be ~180cm x 45cm, and outlets and screens are not guaranteed.
