Nabil Chemaly oversees the Safe Water initiative at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, working with partners in Ethiopia, Ghana and Uganda to ensure reliable, affordable and safely managed water to one million people in low-income households, health facilities, and schools. Chemaly has also worked as a water and sanitation specialist with DAI Global LLC where he designed and supported the implementation of USAID-funded water, sanitation and hygiene programs in Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East. Previously, Chemaly held several positions on water, sanitation and hygiene projects in East Africa and the Middle East with funding from USAID and the German Government. Chemaly received a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Montpellier in France, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lebanese University.
