It is with mixed emotions that we share that Pat Modugno will be retiring from his position as vice president of administration and chief financial officer effective Friday, May 8, 2020. Modugno joined the Foundation in 1987 and has overseen all administrative and financial activities, including accounting, legal, facilities, grants management and information technology.
“My career at the Hilton Foundation has been an incredible journey and one of the absolute joys of my life,” says Modugno. “I have met and worked with incredible people and appreciate the opportunity to have played a role in the growth and development of the Foundation, as well as the many lives we have served throughout the world in the name of our generous donors, Conrad and Barron Hilton.”
When Modugno joined the Foundation over thirty years ago after a career in commercial banking, he was one of five employees. As a highly valued member of the leadership team, Modugno worked closely with three Foundation presidents during his tenure and helped shape the organization into what it is today. He has been intimately involved in our long-term planning and growth.
“Pat will forever be a significant part of the Hilton Foundation’s story,” shares President and CEO Peter Laugharn. “Over the years, he has played a key role in nearly every aspect of every department of this organization. As someone who met Conrad N. Hilton and worked closely with Barron Hilton, Pat has always protected and championed donor intent at the Foundation. His contribution is immeasurable.”
Modugno will continue to serve as corporate treasurer of the Conrad N. Hilton Fund for Sisters and chair of the Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission.
