Veshal Kauuraa leads, designs and executes the DEI, engagement, learning and development strategies for the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. Kauuraa works closely with the Leadership Team and staff to ensure that the Hilton Foundation has an equitable, inclusive and vibrant culture which ultimately fosters every employee to do their best work. Kauuraa has dedicated his nearly twenty- year career in hospitality to the creation of diversity/inclusion programs and managing talent across the globe.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Kauuraa held several senior positions at Hilton Worldwide where he most recently facilitated workshops in support of the Leadership Framework and partnered with HR to integrate inclusion, diversity and bias mitigation concepts. Kauuraa has a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality from Florida International University, a diploma in Hotel Management from Hotel Institute Montreux in Switzerland, and a specialization in human resources management from York University in Canada.
