Shani A. Carter McKinney

Shani A. Carter McKinney supports the Program team at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation as a strategy officer, working to ensure effective strategic plan development, implementation and improvement across initiatives.

Prior to the Foundation, Carter McKinney served as an advisor to the Chief of Schools at Los Angeles Unified School District, where she supported strategic planning and engagement for district-wide programs. Previously, she was a director at HR&A Advisors, consulting with institutional partners on equitable real estate and economic development initiatives in American cities. She also worked as a senior analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Carter McKinney holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School, a Master of Urban Planning degree from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Howard University.
