Marsha R. de Vera provides a wide range of high-level coordination and leads the Generations in Giving Program (GIG), collaborating closely with the GIG committee chair and the related advisory council. In addition, she works with the Executive team to support needs of the quarterly meeting of the board of directors. In her role as archivist, she will oversee the preservation and organization of Hilton family records and artifacts.
Prior to joining the Foundation, de Vera worked for the organization’s largest benefactor, Barron Hilton, and the William Barron Hilton Trust for nearly 30 years. She began her career in 1993 at Hilton Hotels Corporation as the executive assistant to Hilton. Over the years, she assumed greater leadership roles, eventually taking on the role of Hilton’s chief of staff. Following his death in 2019, she served as coordinator for the Trust and worked closely with the successor Trustee. She managed the distribution of Hilton’s assets and was responsible for archiving his personal and professional papers and artifacts for posterity.
