Kie Riedel

Kie Riedel supports the Safe Water Initiative team at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation as a program officer, working with partners in Ethiopia, Ghana and Uganda to ensure reliable, affordable and safely managed water to 1 million people in low-income households, health facilities and schools. 

Prior to joining the Hilton Foundation, Riedel worked at Arnold Ventures as a manager overseeing a portfolio of investments in rigorous research of social programs. She has more than a decade of experience working on a variety of global development projects, primarily in East Africa. Riedel has worked for the World Bank, UNICEF and Innovations for Poverty Action implementing programs in social protection, youth employment, and water, sanitation and hygiene. She holds a master’s degree in water science, policy and management from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics from Colorado College.
