Javier Garcia joined the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in December 2018 as executive chef and café operations manager at the Westlake Village Office. Javier was born in Mexico and discovered his passion for cooking while working at Dairy Queen in Thousand Oaks in the late seventies. He attended school at the Culinary Institute of Santa Barbara. Before joining the Foundation, Javier served as executive chef and manager at Dole Food Company for 16 years. Prior to that, Javier worked at many fine dining establishments, including Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, Boccaccio’s Restaurant, Ottavio’s Italian Restaurant and Sherwood Country Club. Javier plans to use his decades of experience to help advance the mission of the Foundation.
