Flavia Draganus

As director of Communications, Flavia Draganus is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and implementing external and internal communications, marketing and branding strategies that support the Hilton Foundation’s institutional and programmatic objectives.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Draganus served as senior director for Global Communications at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where she managed external communications around IRC’s private sector, philanthropy and programmatic engagement. During her time with the IRC, Draganus played a key role in several key communication campaigns and media engagements that resulted in the organization winning the 100&Change MacArthur Foundation Prize and the LEGO Foundation Humanitarian Award, among others.

A seasoned communications professional, Draganus previously worked in various communications and advocacy capacities for the United Nations Foundation, Orbis International, SKDK, UNESCO and the OECD. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Comparative Politics and master’s degree in International Relations at the American University of Paris
