Beth deHamel

Beth deHamel oversees operations and finance at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.  In this role, she is responsible for setting financial strategy to support the Foundation’s grantmaking and impact. She also oversees operational activities supporting the Foundation’s mission including IT, workplace services and building operations. 

Prior to joining the Foundation, deHamel worked for Mercy Corps, a global NGO operating in 44 countries with over 5,500 employees. She served as Mercy Corps’ CFO for seven years, and was appointed by the board of directors to serve as interim CEO for one year. Her earlier work included serving as CFO of the Portland Oregon regional transit agency, and over 20 years as an investment banker financing large public infrastructure projects. 

deHamel has a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a bachelor’s degree in economics and public policy from Duke University.
