Hilton Foundation at the 2017 Annual Council on Foundations Leading Together Conference
The Council on Foundations’ Leading Together Annual Conference is dedicated to exploring the essential role that philanthropy plays in society. Several Hilton Foundation staff members will be joining the discussion.

Director of Domestic Programs Bill Pitkin will join a panel to discuss how housing stability plays an essential role in health and mental health outcomes.
Senior Advisor on Catholic Sisters & Faith-Based Activities Sister Rosemarie Nassif, alongside other interfaith leaders and academics, will talk about the role of philanthropy in advancing open, just, and diverse societies using interfaith strategies to move communities from judgment and isolation to civility and, ultimately, compassion.
Director of International Programs Shaheen Kassim-Lakha, with representatives from the Pacific Council on International Policy and the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office discusses the Pacific Council’s STEPS (Water Scarcity, Trade, Energy, Politics and Security) program on the U.S. West Coast and its potential applications in other regions around the world.
Communications Director Marc Moorghen, with representatives from The Foundation Center, Effective Philanthropy Group, Hewlett Foundation and The Bush Foundation, will explore sharing a foundation’s knowledge “assets” and cultivating a sharing culture within the organization.
