What we've learned from confronting trachoma

Our newest In Practice report, “Eliminating Blindness from Trachoma Infection,” shares lessons learned from our past 15 years of grantmaking in the sector, and makes recommendations for future impact.

The Hilton Foundation has made critical contributions to trachoma control and prevention, particularly in Ghana, Mali, and Niger—all of which are poised to eliminate trachoma by 2015. However, the goal of global elimination by 2020 is not yet met.
