2000 Hilton Humanitarian Symposium

The 2000 Hilton Humanitarian Symposium was an international humanitarian assembly sponsored by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, and brought together leaders from governments, non-governmental organizations, foundations, corporations, multilateral institutions, and the military to explore solutions that will lead to lasting peace, justice, and reconciliation in countries of conflict. In addition to distinguished panel speakers, Queen Noor of Jordan also participated in discussions with attendees. This year's conference was held for the first time in Geneva, Switzerland at the World Meteorological Organization. Each assembly is broadcast on the Internet.

This international assembly was held in conjunction with the presentation of the fifth annual Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize. At a dinner following the conference, Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan was keynote speaker and all three levels of the Swiss government participated in the sponsorship of the Hilton Humanitarian Prize ceremony.
