Following is a list of priority area grants approved at the quarterly board meeting held on May 20, 2011.

Water

Millennium Water Alliance
$6 million over three years
To support continued implementation of WASH programming in Ethiopia, with sub-grants to CARE USA, Catholic Relief Services, Lifewater International, Living Water International, WaterAid America, World Vision, and Millennium Water Program Secretariat.

United States Fund for UNICEF
$4.5 million over three years
To continue the WASH program in West Africa, with sub-grants to UNICEF West Africa Regional Office and UNICEF National Offices in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, and Niger.

Water for People
$500,000 over two years
To map and create real-time monitoring of water programs in West Africa using the Field Level Operations Watch (FLOW) mobile-based and Google technology.

Children

Children's Law Center of Los Angeles
$300,000 over two years
To support the California Fostering Connections to Success Implementation Project.

FSG Social Impact Advisors
$202,000 over six months
To develop comprehensive landscape assessments for Foster Youth and Substance Abuse strategic initiatives.

FXB USA
$230,000 over two years
To integrate early childhood development activities within the FXB Village Network program in Rwanda and Uganda.

Blindness

American Friends London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
$300,000 over three years
To support the International Centre for Eye Health's Community Eye Health Journal and its distribution.

Catholic Education

Wyoming Catholic College
$200,000 over four years
To provide direct scholarship support.
